Beginning April 15th, 2019 the Sports-ISAO will begin an 8-week training program in preparation for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be held in France.
The Sports-ISAO, a program of the Cyber Resilience Institute (CRI) has previously run training programs for the following global sporting events:
- 2016 Summer Olympics
- 2017 World Championship’s (Track & Field)
- 2018 Winter Olympics
- 2018 FIFA Men’s World Cup
During each event we run a training program to prepare enrollees to participate in a “pop-up” Security Operations Center (SOC). This year will be running two separate tracks:
- Cyber Threat Hunting Track (i.e., includes Cyber Observables and Social Media hunting tools and techniques); and
- Legal & Policy Issues.
As part of the on-line training we provide ‘seats’ on our Training Platform, plus temporary licenses to our Threat Intelligence Platform on TruSTAR.
We will be running the 8-week online training program from April 15th through the beginning of the Quarter-Finals of the Women’s World Cup 2019 on June 27th, 2019. At that time we begin our 7-day “Capstone” where enrollees will practice and hone their threat hunting and cyber threat analysis skills.
Successful participants of the program are invited into a CrowdWatch engagement during the 3rd Place Match and Finals on July 6th and 7th, 2019, as guest analysts. The CrowdWatch provides cyber threat assessment reports to government agencies and other stakeholders supporting the FIFA Women’s World Cup security operations. This trial will allow CrowdWatch guest analysts to, potentially, gain access to full membership in the CrowdWatch program.
CrowdWatch participants are eligible for:
- Compensated contract work;
- Our Affiliate Referral program;
- On-boarding onto the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN) Sports-ISAO Community of Interest; and
- Job-placement referrals.
